The American Painter George Bellows (1882-1925) said that
the ideal artist "knows everything, feels everything, experiences everything, and
retains his experience in a spirit of wonder and feeds upon it with creative lust"
... The act of creating is a force known to all artists, as is the knowledge that
less is more in any artform.
